Shaitaan Movie Review: Ajay Devgn the Family Man Vs A Badass Warlock

Have you ever been asked by your parents not to accept anything from strangers? If YES, then I am sure you know exactly why they wanted you to do that. But if NOT, then you must watch Ajay Devgn’s recently released movie “Shaitaan” and you’ll understand that too.

Today, on the special occasion of Maha Shivratri, Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer Shaitaan has finally released in theatres. Based on black magic, it is the most-awaited supernatural thriller of March 2024. Talking of its complete cast, Shaitaan has two more important actors, Jyothika (Ajay’s wife) and Janki Bodiwala (Ajay’s Daughter).

Shaitaan: Plot of the Movie

The story of Shaitaan starts by introducing a happy small family including Mother (Jyothika), father (Ajay Devgn), daughter (Janki Bodiwala) and son (Anngad Raaj). Their life is perfect until an unwanted guest (R. Madhavan) appears at their doorsteps asking for help to charge his phone.

The tension gets into the air when this unwanted guest Vanraaj turns out a warlock searching for a young girl to sacrifice in his ritual to get invincible. He possesses Ajay’s young daughter Janvi with a black magic called Vashikaran. Now she is only supposed to do what Vanraaj wants.

Shaitaan Movie Review: R. Madhavan Shines as Shaitaan

In direct and simple words, Shaitaan is undoubtedly a masterpiece with an insanely gripping story and chilling twists and turns. However, the movie takes a little slow start, but it feels worthwhile when the story gets to the point.

The acting of every actor is exceptionally great and succeeds in giving goosebumps, especially R. Madhavan and Janki Bodiwala. They both are unpredictable and give scary vibes in the movie. Talking of Ajay and Jyothika, they have also done a remarkable job. The tension and pain on their faces seem real, enough to make you pray for them.

Overall, Shaitaan is an outstanding movie that is worth your time and money. However, it is a Hindi adaption of the Gujarati movie Vash, released in 2023. The most interesting part is that Vash also stars the same girl Janki Bodiwala.
