Mrunal Thakur Said, “I Fought With Producers For This Role”

After making her debut with “Love Sonia” in 2018, Mrunal Thakur has done various successful movies in both Bollywood and the South film industry. Her every performance was so impactful and made a special place in the hearts of Indian audiences. People are still in love with her characters in “Sita Ramam” and “Hi Nanna.”

In a recent interview, Mrunal talked about her upcoming movie “Pooja Meri Jaan”, which is very special according to her. It is a women-centric movie with a sensitive topic, following a woman stalked by an unknown admirer. The movie also features “Huma Qureshi” as a supporting star.

Talking to News18, Mrunal Thakur revealed why this character is so special to her and how she got it. She said, “There is one film, ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ that I have done, it is yet to be released. But that film is something that I wanted to do, this is who I am, and this is what happened to me. So, I fought with the producers because I found out someone else was supposed to play this character.”

Mrunal continued, “When I found out this film was being made, I fought for that role – I gave multiple auditions and screen tests. I had to literally beg for it. We shot it 2 years ago, and it should hopefully be released this year. I remember it was the last day of shooting for ‘Sita Ramam’ and I had to take a flight the next morning for a screen test.”
