Totally Unexpected!! Anjali Arora to Play Goddess Sita in Abhishek Singh’s Ramayana

We all are well aware of Nitish Kumar’s Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor & Sai Pallavi. It is in the making and grabbing huge limelight at the national. Meanwhile, there is one more movie coming up based on the epic of Ramayana. It is said to be directed by Bhojpuri director Abhishek Singh.

However, there is an unexpected thing about this movie that brought it into consideration. It’s Kaccha Badam fame social media influencer Anjali Arora, who has recently been announced to play the role of Goddess Sita in the film.

Abhishek Singh’s Ramayana: Anjali Arora to Make Her Movie Debut As Goddess Sita

Anjali Arora is a popular internet personality with more than 13 million followers on Instagram. She makes dance reels on social media and grabbed the limelight due to her insanely attractive appearance. She has also been featured in Kangana Ranuat’s reality show Lock Upp.

As per the recent updates, the internet personality is all set to make her movie debut with Abhishek Singh’s Ramayana as Goddess Sita. Talking about this with ETimes TV, Anjali Arora said “I feel blessed to have been offered the part. The character of Goddess Sita is so sacred that no one can refuse it. Curious about why the director chose me, I asked him, and he said he had shortlisted a few actresses, including me. I believe they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character. I was finalised last month, and since then, I have been watching videos, doing readings, and attending workshops. I will give my best to do justice to the character.”

Anjali Arora also shed light on her comparison with other actresses who portrayed the role of Goddess Sita. She said “I am aware that comparisons are bound to be made, and who isn’t afraid of comparisons? However, if I am compared to a Bollywood actress, I will be happy.”

Other than this, Anjali also talked about the trollers who will speak against this. She said “I can’t change people’s mindsets. As an actor, I commit to every character I am offered with full conviction. Besides, we can’t stop trolls, as they believe they have the right to criticise us. My social media image has nothing to do with my acting and won’t affect my performance; I aim to prove myself instead of seeking validation from others.”
