Hard to Believe! Nidhi Bhanushali Didn’t Used to Watch TMKOC Even When She A Part of It

Unquestionably, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the most-loved television show that has ever been created in India. Started in July 2008, the sitcom made a special place in the hearts of millions throughout all these years. Every character in this show is perfect in its own way and can’t be replaced. But despite this fact, the makers of TMKOC dared to make various changes to the star cast.

Sonu Bhide, daughter of Aatmaraam Tukaraam Bhide, is also one of those characters who has been changed multiple times. After Jheel Mehta left the show, Nidhi Bhanushali joined the TMKOC as Sonu and received immense love from the audience. It was a character that pulled her into the limelight and offered recognition on the national level.

“I Stopped Watching It Long Ago,” Said Nidhi Bhanushali Aka Sonu Bhide

In 2021, after Palak Sindhwani as Sonu Bhide in TMKOC, Nidhi Bhanushali appeared in an interview, where she opened up about her personal life and why decided to leave the show. When she was asked about her take on the changes in the cast of TMKOC, she came up with a reply nobody ever expected.

She said, “I stopped watching it long ago. Even when I was on it, I did not see it frequently enough. I don’t watch much TV anyway. Maintaining relationships with your former co-actors can be done, even without watching the show regularly. Recently, the show’s director, Malav, and his wife renewed their vows; I met a lot of TMKOC actors there.”

Talking about her personal life, Nidhi Bhanushali has been in the limelight despite being on a break from acting. She remained in the news because of her drastic transformation over the years. She regularly posts attractive images and reels of herself on social media. She has more than 1 million followers on Instagram.

Who is the Best Sonu Bhide?

As we all know, the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma replaced Sonu Bhide’s character multiple times. At the start of the show, it was played by Jheel Mehta as a child actress. She was only 13 years old at that time and continued till 2013.

After Jheel Mehta left, the character was offered to Nidhi Bhanushali who gained huge appreciation from the audience. She was also only 14 years old when came on board. Nidhi portrayed it from 2013 to 2019 and left, handing it over to Palak Sindhwani.

Palak Sindhwani is currently playing the character of Sonu Bhide in TMKOC. She was 21 years old when she joined the show and gained immense popularity since then.
